The North Eastern Counties Dobermann Society was formed in 1986 and is the Kennel Club approved Dobermann Breed Club for North East England.
Members of the Club are expected to demonstrate a responsible and caring attitude as owners and breeders in order to improve and enhance the health, temperament, quality and preserve the future and reputation of the breed.
The Club holds two Shows each year a Championship and Open Show along with a weekly training night every Monday and other social functions for all the family.
Membership of the Club is open to Dobermann owners and enthusiasts around the world.

NECDS VISION 2008 - 2012
This statement outlines the vision of the Club for the 5 year period between 2008 to the end of 2012. During this period it is the intention of the Officers and Committee that the Society establishes itself as the leading Dobermann Breed Club in the UK and is recognised as the Centre of Excellence for all Dobermann owners and enthusiasts in North East England.
The Society's Constitution and Standards of Membership provides the framework on how the Club operates and outlines the management structure, rules and regulations that will enable us collectively to achieve this vision. We have in place effective leadership and direction that will be delivered in in a style that meets the expectations and aspirations of our Members.
We are committed to continuous improvement in all our activites and will identify and apply best practice including encouraging an open dialogue at all times. We will work in partnership with the Kennel Club, Dobermann Breed Council, other Dobermann Breed Clubs and all other organisations and individuals towards improving the standard and reputation of the Breed.
